Questions
Do the scores I paste go anywhere?
No. There is no server, no storage, and no analytics on the pasted text - the math runs in your browser and the numbers exist only on this page until you close it. Grade data should not be pasted into tools that cannot say that.
What input formats does the paste box accept?
Scores separated by new lines, spaces, commas, or semicolons - any mix, straight out of a spreadsheet column. Anything that is not a number from 0 to 150 is ignored and counted so you can see how many tokens were skipped.
Is the standard deviation population or sample?
Population (divide by n): the pasted roster is treated as the whole class, not a sample from a larger one. A sample SD divides by n minus 1 and comes out slightly larger; multiply the shown value by the square root of n over n minus 1 if you need it.
How is the median computed with an even number of scores?
The mean of the two middle values after sorting. With 12 scores, the median is the average of the 6th and 7th.
Can I change the letter scale under the distribution?
Yes. Every minimum in the scale table is editable and the distribution recounts on every change. The default is one widely used plus-minus convention, not a standard - your syllabus wins.
